Once the age of 40 rolls around, it becomes extremely clear who takes care of their skin and who doesn’t. If you haven’t been taking the appropriate measures to help your skin, you skin will be drier, less firm and thinner.
Your main concern when you hit 40 is the skin around your eyes. You will notice more frequent dark circles, eye puffiness and drooping lids. This is the time, more than ever, that you should have a daily regiment for skin care. I would advise using a product with retinol 2-3 times per week. (Retinol is proven to stimulate collagen growth.) Use a topical eye serum with Vitamin C to brighten your complexion and overall appearance. It also doesn’t hurt to incorporate drinking plenty of water and green vegetables to help work from the inside – out.
Be sure and wash your face twice a day. When you wake up, wash your face with an antioxidant cleanser, a hydrating facial cream and sunscreen with minimum SPF 15. At night, wash your face again, use a night time face and eye cream. Most night eye creams work hard while you sleep to fight off the signs of aging.
Out of all of this information, the most important thing you can remember is to always use sunscreen and eye cream. If you start these early, they will help fight environmental damage, while also giving your skin the moisture and vitamins it needs.
In order to really tackle eye wrinkles and prevent them, you have to be diligent and do this regiment every day. These treatments will only be successful if you do them daily. Good luck ladies!
