Facial Exercises Help to Reduce Eye Wrinkles

As we age, our skin starts to wrinkle and sag because of a loss of collagen and other external factors such as the sun, health issues, smoking and injuries. Since we can’t stop the inevitable, there are certain steps we can take to reduce the appearance of eye wrinkles and other facial sagging. One way is by doing facial exercises!

Facial exercises are a great way to tighten up your face, while saving time and money. Think of these exercises like weight lifting. Lifting weights help to tighten and tone your body. Apply this same reasoning to your face. If you are doing contractions and applied resistance to specific muscles in your face, your skin will in turn tighten, increase muscle size and provide a natural face lift. Facial exercises can reduce droop jowls and cheeks, tighten your whole face and help diminish the signs of eye wrinkles and puffy eyes.

There are two different types of exercises: isometric and resistance. In a nut shell, isometric exercises tone and firm face muscles. It can be uncommon to have dramatic results with this form of exercise. It is greatly dependant upon your age and if you have extensive muscle loss.

Resistance exercises, on the other hand, work to strengthen and build your muscles. This is the form that brings all the much needed oxygen and nutrients to your face to feed your staved skin cells. These exercises really fill out and lift up your face. In my opinion, resistance is more effective and much more time efficient.

This is one of my favorite facial exercises I do daily! It’s specializes on eliminating forehead wrinkles. First step is to lift your eyebrows up as far as you can. Then, put your fingers at the top of your forehead. Slide your fingers down toward your eyebrows in a smooth motion. Think of it as pushing your raised forehead back down.

When your fingers meet your eyebrows, lower your forehead into a frown and slide your fingers back up to your hairline. You are doing the exact opposite as the previous step. Now you are trying to push your forehead back up. When you have done this, you have completed 1 set. Make sure to do 10 sets each day!

Although we can’t completely stop the aging process (although we would all like to), we can now put up a good fight to help reduce signs of aging and wrinkles! Good luck ladies!

Prevent Aging Sun Damage with SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

It’s the time of year when people want to be outside as long as possible on warm Spring days.  They are savoring the sunlight in eager anticipation of the summer…going to the first baseball games of the season and enjoying afternoon barbecues.  But, the problem is they are forgetting to wear sunscreen and getting fried!  After being shut indoors all winter, many people forget the habit of wearing sunscreen and get burned the first time they are out in the springtime sun.  This not only leads to painful burns, but it also leads to eye wrinkles.  Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging, and the delicate eye area is often the first to show the signs.

For best results in preventing sun damage and subsequent eye wrinkles, you can strengthen the skin’s natural sun protection with products containing ferulic acid combined with vitamins C and E.  When applied under sunscreen, this combination greatly increases your protection against sun damage.

One of the best products containing ferulic acid, vitamins C and E is SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

When these antioxidants are combined with ferulic acid, their powers as sun-protective agents are doubled and their ability to neutralize wrinkle-causing free radicals is increased.  A great preventative product due to its advanced antioxidant protection, C E Ferulic also corrects skin damage by stimulating the production of collagen.

Apply to clean, dry skin, followed by a moisturizing sunscreen and an eye wrinkle cream containing sunscreen (I highly recommend Dermalogica Total Eye Care SPF 15), and you’ll have the best sun protection next to staying indoors!

Finding the Best Anti Eye Wrinkle Creams for Your Skin

Getting older has its perks. Once a woman reaches a certain age of maturity she qualifies for reduced prices when it comes to cups of coffee, theater tickets and even a bus pass. However there are other less enjoyable things that come with age. One of those is wrinkles. Almost every woman starts thinking about an anti eye wrinkle cream even before she reaches middle age.

The skin on the face is largely the most sensitive. Things like sun tanning, smoking and even make-up can have a negative impact on the way a woman looks. All of these factors can eventually contribute to eye wrinkles, so finding an effective anti eye wrinkle cream can be likened to finding the fountain of youth. The right cream can actually take years off the way a woman looks.

Infomercials have become all the rage in the past decade or so. Staying up late one evening will have you privy to ads for everything from cooking grills to anti eye wrinkle cream. In the case of the latter, you’ll be bombarded with before and after images of women who have used the anti eye wrinkle cream and gotten great results. You may be skeptical of all the promises being made, and you’d be wise in not rushing off to the phone to call the toll-free number and give out your credit card.

The majority of these creams, whether purchased from a television ad, a drug store or a high end skin care boutique are largely all the same. The goal of any anti eye wrinkle cream is to diminish the appearance of the small lines that develop around the eyes. To do this the anti eye wrinkle cream must possess some substance that makes it moisturizing. The more moisturizing one of these cosmetic creams is, the better the results will be.

If you are unsure of which is best for you, consider your skin type. For a woman with very dry skin, she’s going to want to purchase and use an anti eye wrinkle cream that contains the optimum amount of moisturizers. For a woman who struggles with oily skin, she’s more apt to choose an anti eye wrinkle cream that is made just for oily skin.  She will want to avoid any products that contain alcohol, which will over-dry the skin and lead to wrinkles.  For a woman with combination skin, she will want to use an anti eye wrinkle cream that gives her a boost of moisturizing nourishment to the eye area.

In any case, taking good care of facial skin is vitally important when it comes to delaying the signs of aging. Even if a woman is already noticing some small eye wrinkles or frown lines, there’s a lot she can do to prevent further visible aging. Using a sunscreen under make-up every day, exercising and eating a healthy diet will all contribute to a younger, fresher look.

Anti Eye Wrinkle Skin Care Tips For Men

Anti eye wrinkle skin care isn’t just for women, though advertisements would have you think otherwise. Recent studies have shown that three in five men are just as concerned about their appearance in terms of the signs of aging as women. But even with this information, it can be hard to find reliable anti eye wrinkle products and advice for men. And it can be even harder for some men to use it.

Protecting what you already have:

Eye wrinkles might look distinguished on some men, but others don’t want these obvious signs of their age. To help prevent these lines, men need to consider applying a sunscreen with an ample protection factor. While the more than 65 000 new cases of skin cancer each year in the UK should be enough to coax anyone into wearing sunscreen, the fact of the matter is that it’s also a crucial step towards anti aging skin care. The sun inflicts compounding damage, meaning that each time you step into the sun without protection; you’re damaging your skin more. Here are some ways to start adding protection to your daily routine:

After washing your face in the morning, add a thin layer of sunscreen to your face and neck as well as the backs of your hands and any other exposed skin.  Reapply this sunscreen as the day goes on.  If you should get your face or hands wet or sweaty, you will want to apply more sunscreen.

Correcting sun damage once you’ve gotten burned:

What’s interesting about anti aging skin care is that many people believe that all hope is lost once they do have a sunburn, so they stop putting on protection, thinking all is lost. However, this is not the case. Studies have shown that skin can repair itself if you act quickly after a sunburn and try to protect yourself from future occurrences.

When you have a sunburn, begin by applying ice to the affected area, just as you would with a ‘real’ burn.  Begin to take a daily supplement of Vitamin E, one capsule a day is fine, as long as your general practitioner hasn’t told you not to.  Apply a lotion or cream to the area that contains hyaluronic acid. This is conducive to healing and repair of the skin cells.

Making sure it’s not more than a wrinkle:

For many men, their jobs can expose them to more sunlight and sun exposure. While it might be worrisome in terms of eye wrinkles, it can also present the possibility of more serious conditions, like skin cancer. In the UK, melanoma is now the third leading cause of death in patients aged 15 to thirty five. While you might think that ‘age spot’ is just a sign of your years, it might also be something that’s pointing out a more serious issue.

Signs that might point out something more than skin care issue:

  • A skin growth that seems to change in colour or size
  • A skin growth that doesn’t heal on its own in four weeks
  • A mole or growth that is larger than a pencil head or has irregularly shaped borders

The easiest way to tell if your growth is an age spot or a cancerous tumour is to check with your general practitioner. If the growth looks benign, they may wish to observe it over time to note any changes.

Dealing with the eye wrinkles you do have:

There are a number of ways that men can incorporate anti eye wrinkle skin care into their daily routine. After shaving, men can apply their traditional favored cream, but also follow that with a moisturiser that contains any number of anti aging ingredients or botanicals. Natural oils and emollients can lessen the appearance of finer lines, but deeper set lines will require more concentrated gels and creams - these may contain collagen boosters as well as antioxidants.

For men, anti eye wrinkle care can also extend into more complicated procedures, involving the plastic surgery field:

  • Men can have eye lifts to smooth out their eye wrinkles
  • Some men have turned to eye bag removal procedures to help lessen any bags that cause them to appear older
  • Browlifts are also a procedure that can reduce eye wrinkles

Of course, there are other anti eye wrinkle skin care procedures that can also be scheduled:

  • Dermabrasion for surface wrinkles
  • Fat transfer
  • Laser treatment for eye wrinkles

Anti eye wrinkle skin care isn’t just for women anymore.  From making simple changes in their daily skin care routine to more complex plastic surgery procedures, more men than ever are seeking out their own route to a more youthful look.
