I read in a recent consumer confidence poll that 55% of women have cut spending on skin care purchases. There’s no doubt that the slow economy will deter women from spending big bucks on lavish anti aging lotions and costly anti eye wrinkle creams. Caring for aging skin and reducing the appearance of eye wrinkles is difficult enough as it is, but how do you do it on a budget?
Take Free Advice
The Internet is full of free, useful information, so why not take advantage of it? For example, I found a free email series at www.eyeskincaresecrets.com that has great tips on diminishing eye wrinkles and maintaining youthful-looking eyes.
Consider Consolidating
Contrary to what you see in pharmacy aisles and television ads, you don’t need an entire skin care line consisting of 15 different products to care for and protect your skin. Consolidate! Invest in three good quality products: a great anti eye wrinkle cream, a gentle facial soap that is effective for removing makeup, and a moisturizer that contains an SPF of at least 15. Look for products with antioxidants, which improve the skin’s collagen and strengthen elasticity.
Raid Your Pantry
There are plenty of home remedies using food and other natural ingredients that claim to reduce eye wrinkles. Although I’ve heard that some may have good results temporarily, I’m not too eager to rub bananas all over my face or honey on my eyelids, so I haven’t tried many of them personally. However, I have tried using tea bags over my eyes, and I was pleasantly surprised at the results. Not only were my eye wrinkles less noticeable, the puffiness under my eyes had gone down as well.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
In addition to moisturizing your skin, nourish it from the inside out by drinking plenty of water. It’s amazing how much drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day can improve your skin and make it appear smoother, fresher and younger.
So, as it turns out, it IS possible to get and maintain younger-looking skin and wrinkle-free eyes on a budget. And, it’s not as difficult as we thought!
